"Of the Community" - A Community Living Documentary
You are invited to come watch a film, produced by the University of Minnesota Institute on Community Integration, that explores what it means for eight individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to not only be integrated in their communities but welcomed and valued as members of their communities.

Afterwards, you can ask questions in an open discussion with Val Bradley (Human Services Research Institute) and Olivia Sullivan (Elsevier/DirectCourse) and hear evidence-based recommendations and resources to improve community inclusion quality in your services.

Takeaways:

• See examples of supports that lead to people becoming "of their community".

• Learn how to use the National Core Indicators to measure community inclusion effectiveness and see how your state ranks.

• Learn about the College of Direct Support online training, designed to advance the "community inclusive" mindsets and competencies of direct support professionals.

This full-length screening is brought to you by DirectCourse online training - a partnership between Elsevier and University of Minnesota’s Institute on Community Integration.

This screening does not provide continuing education units.
