Eleonora Palmaro
Eleonora Palmaro is Product Manager at Elsevier. As Product Manager of Funding Institutional she supports universities and research institutions to secure research funding and get insights in the funding landscape. Prior to be a product manager she has gained a 2 years of experience in Data Science at Elsevier. As a data scientist she is expert on the extraction of bibliometric and scientometric indicators from big data, in order to provide a quantitative measure to support the research assessment . Prior to joining Elsevier she has gained a 4 years of experience in the research assessment as data analyst at the ‘Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia’. Eleonora holds a MSc in Bioengineering from the University of Genoa and a Master in Management and Business Strategy from 24 ore Business School in Milan.
Luke McAvaney
Principal Research Development Specialist @Monash University
Luke is Principal Research Development Strategist at Monash University, responsible for the delivery of high-quality research support services to identify and exploit large- scale funding opportunities. He also provides strategic advice to the Vice-Provost (Research), Deputy Vice Chancellor and Vice President (Enterprise) and Provost on new research opportunities, priorities, and mechanisms to drive research strategy at Monash. His team fosters and develops initiatives to support Monash researchers at every stage of their career, including the planning and design of training programs to address key areas or identified needs as well as direct, full-service grant review and editing. Luke and his team links high performing research teams, supporting them to present the best case for research funding. Luke is a Foundation Accredited Research Manager (Australasian Research Management Society) and his support of over $300 million in successful major research initiatives
